SmackDown 02-26-10 ~Spear Spear Spear~

I am currently hating on WWE a lot, due to them being lazy with SL’s, Stables and pretty much anything else.
Yes, I admit, the “Road to Wrestlemania” has some pretty good stuff, but it still feels a bit forced don’t you think? Like: “Oh, Wrestlemania is coming up, let’s quickly put a few fan-favourites together that we used last year (or year before,…)”.
The only exception from this is of course the soon the be “Feud of the year” Jericho/Edge – which is kinda scary, because expectations are so high, can it really live up to the hype?

Anyway, are you wondering what I am really…REALLY pissed about?

Hurricane Helms

Yep, they dared to let one of my favourite guys go! *pffft*
They also kicked out Paul Burchill and Maria and I am sure there’s more to come, since it’s spring and all and we are one roster short now.
Now, don’t get me wrong, I am the first to admit that the entire roster is HUGE and there’s just way to much “Talent” in WWE.
So yes, please fire about 30% – but please, leave the “Talents” that actually deserve that name alone will ya’ !
How many guys are running around with no gimmick, no charisma, no mic-ability and in worst cases, no wrestling-moves? How many?
I don’t wish unemployment on anybody – period – but there are quite a few guys who are just lingering around, wasting time and IF anybody should be fired, shouldn’t it be them instead?

I know, not everybody loves Helms as much as me and my friends do – but even the biggest Hater has to admit that there’s quite a few worse in WWE!
Burchill has never found his place and I was never a fan, BUT, he is by far better than a few others as well.
Maria? Never liked her – I can even go as far as saying I couldn’t care less, BUT there’S Divas worse than her too – just maybe not in my taste, but from an objective pov.

Again, I do not wish for anybody in this world to lose their job (besides my boss maybe, but hey, I am only human *ha*), but I ain’t afraid to name people either:

Chris Masters (just bad! Will never understand why they re-hired him)
Carlito (not cause he’s bad, but I seriously doubt he will ever “make it”)
Hornswoggle (Do I really need to explain?)
Mark Henry (uhm…yeah)
Primo (I really like him, seriously, but he’s not going anywhere, sadly)
Alicia Fox
Bella’s

I could go on, but I am sure you’re catching my drift here.
There’s a ton of Talent being used wrong or not used at all, just like there’S a bunch of guys/gals who should have left long time ago.
Oh yeah and in case ya’ haven’t heard yet, Referee Scott Armstrong got fired as well. Huh? See, I come from a time where it still mattered a bit who was Referee (aka the Hebner-times), so to me, this is kinda weird. He wasn’t a bad Referee, just like none of them really are, plus, he was the ONLY Ref all of us knew about nowadays, thanks to his “feud” with Punk.
So either, he did something backstage that we are not aware of, or WWE is just full of shit *lol*.

Who will be next in the “annual spring-cleaning”? I have no idea – just a few guesses, that I rather not share, but I am sure we will see a few more go before the Draft (or right after, like K…Anderson last year *duh*).
BTW: Has anyone seen Charlie Haas lately?

UPDATE: About an hour or so after I wrote this ^^^ , WWE announced the release of Haas! So, nevermind my question ok *ha*

Much like RAW, SD starts with giddy-as-fuck Jericho *ha* but he’s also a bit mad, because Edge was mean to him

Chris then punches Edge and, you might have guessed it, get’s speared after a failed attempt of the “Codebreaker” *hmpf*
Glad we’re back to making Chris look weak again *rolls eyes*

BTW: Since the crowd was so great *raises The J.’s eyebrow*, WWE had to turn the volume up again every time they “chanted”!

How does JoMo still wrestle with his foot hurt? I don’t get it!
RT is accompanied by D.Otunga, which is a good idea really to get those Rookies some exposure. Sad that not more guys are doing this.
Ziggler over RT, after “Starshippain” from JoMo. Good match! And a huge *Hooray* for Ziggler going to MitB – I hope that’s that push we’ve been waiting for!
Ziggler’s head hit the ring all ill-looking, but I guess he was fine since I haven’t heard anything about it. *ouch*

Womens-Championship-Title-Match
Mickie James vs Michelle McCool
Special Referee Vickie Guerrero (and her sagging boobs *ugh*)

Match wasn’t horrible, but not great of course. Vickie never counted right, slapped James in the face and then Michelle became the new Champion *bleh*

Striker talking about the “wigwam of shame” was weird.

MitB-Qualifying-Match
Drew McIntyre vs Kane

This had me going crazy. I ma not a huge fan of either, but I respect them and know they used to be/are going to be good.
BUT, I said it before and I’ll say it again: I just don’t want to see those 2 in a match again for at least one year!
Also: KANE BEAT DREW CLEAN!!! WHAT? I said…WHAT?
Unbelievable! Drew is the IC-Champ and Kane, who could not for the life of him beat Drew a week ago at EC, beats him with no problem on a weekly.
I don’t get it..what is WWE thinking? Oh yeah, as usual, they’re not *argh*

The Miz is on SD tonight, which makes me happy (and I know at least 2 more Ladies who think so too *ha*)
Apparently him and Big Show are a little bored with their usual opponents, Henry/MVP and so he’s here to address Teddy Long and to ask for Opponents.
(BTW: Did you hear how he got introduced? The way the announcer said THE MIZ? *lol* Loved that!)

He does his usual routine “I’m the Miz and I’m awesome” and Striker’s ears hurt.

Teddy Long shows up and after 1 “Playa” and 1 “Holla”, announces that since Miz is here alone today, he’ll face Edge later *swoon*

I’m kinda scarred that the weight of all these belts will be too much for him sooner or later *lol*

MitB-Qualifying-Match
Shelton Benjamin vs CM Punk (w/SES)

Guess Shelton is on SD now *ugh* …whatever.
Nice match, until Mysterio shows up, pulls Luke down from ring, distracts Punk while doing so, which helps Shelton win.

Punk had ZERO mic-time and lost *hmpf* At least Luke was there to comfort him and so was Serena:

I am sad to report that it almost seems like Matt Striker has moved on, accepted his loss – there was hardly any swooning from him

Anybody else feel like SD was shorter than usual? We are already at the end, one more match to go:

Edge vs The Miz

Miz wears his favourite, purple pants and I think Edge has gotten “skinnier”, less muscular (upper-body) in his 7-month absence.
*sigh* Both so preeetay!!!

The match is good, but, uhm…Miz looks kinda bad when in ring with ”real” Wrestlers huh? *lol* Don’t get me wrong, you all know about my little obsession with him *ha* But, he’s not the greatest Wrestler ever and has A LOT to learn. During this match, it kinda showed. Just sayin’ (*grrr* WWE for letting Helms go).

^^^That last picture here, was the beginning of a very “fake” looking and failed move *lol* I shook my head at both of them

Edge won of course, as if there was ever any doubt *ha*

DB/BD was shown watching backstage and the commentators told us that Jericho and Big Show must be watching too.
Also watching: Obama, Robert Redford, Mick Foley and everybody and your grandma *lol*

Sadly, Jericho did not run in again to break Edge’s code *hehe* but I am not sure the ring (and us) could have dealt with that much hotness.

So, SD was good, not much talking, but I’ll live.

Let’s take a look at our Wrestlemania-card shall we?

Jericho vs Edge = HOORAY!
Batista vs Cena = *boooo*
MitB = Looking good so far!
Undertaker vs HBK = again? *meh* But I’m sure the match will be great.

Probably:
Mysterio vs Punk = should be a very good match.

What’s gonna happen with the Divas, IC-Title, US-TItle and TT-Titles? No idea so far. 

And how about Bret and Vince? Dirt-sheets are going crazy about this, but can Bret even wrestle? Even in a “Street-Fight”? I still doubt this very much – especially after seeing how carefull Batista and Vince were with him.
Besides, who’d want to see that anyway?

And what will Triple H do at WM this year? Don’t tell me he’ll stay home – there’s no way *ha*

I just read that Charlie Haas got released as well. Was not a huge fan of his, but he managed to make me laugh A LOT last year, during a time when RAW sucked even more than now (imagine that), with his impersonations of other Superstars. He did a damn good job with most of them!
