RAW/NXT/SD March-8/9/12-2010 ~Long road to ruin~

I’ve been busy a lot lately, which is why there was no blog last week – my apologies.
Also, all 3 shows had their moments, but due to still being busy, I might just cut this blog short here and there

Headline is the name of a song, from my favourite Band, the Foo Fighters and the road I am referring to is of course the “Road to Wrestlemania”.
Why “ruin”? Well, I am still not sure about that card.
I am happy to see Jericho/Edge and “Money in the Bank”, but I am also kinda “scared” I wont like the winners of those too much. Knowing WWE, they’re gonna do the exact opposite of what I would like *ha*
And the rest? *meh* Not really jumping up and down with excitement here.
Yes, HBK vs Undertaker will probably rule, but, it’s not that we havent seen this one last year right? I still think it was too soon and if at all they wanna bring it, they should have had this lingering about all year, not just now (HBK never talked about it again until Slammy’s remember? *duh*).
Cena vs Batista? <- No, just NO!
Bret vs Vince? <- Can not imagine this being any good. Bret is in no shape – period! But I would like to have them proof me wrong – really!
Sheamus vs H³? <- DILLIGAF?
ShowMiz vs JoMo/RTruth? I’d rather see Miz vs JoMo, really!
Orton vs Chip vs Chap <- could be good, if Ted get’s that push!
Did I forget anything? Oh well, ya’ll got the point right…

Anyway, RAW starts with a promo by the Undertaker, who is sooner or later joined by HBK, who is quite possibly wearing the most hideous shirt this side of Batista *ugh*
Lots of “for one year”-talk <- HUH? How about 4 weeks? Like I said, we didn’t hear about this till just recently *hmpf*
HBK see’s fear in the Undertaker’s eyes, I only see this:

Undertaker see’s pitiful desperation, talks about some black cloud over HBK’S head and man, am I distracted by this hideous shirt.
I am also distracted by the following thought: Will we see “War of the prosthesis” at Wrestlemania 31?

HBK wants the match to be “no count out or DQ” and “So it shall be Shawn” <- Huh? No last name? Taker’s getting personal eh.

Don’t get me wrong, those 2 still deliver great promos, but you already know why I don’t like this too much. Plus, that SHIRT *ha*
Great videos from WWE though, concerning those 2 and their never-ending-feud.

My guess? Undertaker over HBK, who will then take a long break before coming back (end career my ass!)

HBK walks up the ramp, just to turn around and have a staredown with UT <- right, why do that in ring when you can do it on ramp right? Yeah!

Next, the Diva’s Champion taps out in a Six-”Man”-Tag-Team-Match! WTG WWE! That’s how you build up your Champions *thumbs up* RiCOCKulous

BTW: Lawler and Cole are quite silly today, kinda amusing *ha*

Backstage we see Criss Angel (Host), Hornswoggle and you might have guessed it, the Bella’s . Jillian also appears. I couldn’t care less.

ShowMiz are on their way to the ring and Miz cuts a promo all the way to it *hehe*

Why WWE never made that Miz/JoMo – split a bigger storyline in beyond me..REALLY! Never understood why and most importantly, who fucked that one up?
Of course now, when they have a chance to use it again, they’re not … no words.

Matter of fact that whole match against RT/JoMo has no storyline period! I am not surprised by this, but disappointed nonetheless.

ShowMiz vs RT/JoMo ends in a DQ for Morrison and Truth, which they did on purpose. JoMo even got on the mic *ahhh*

After a brief interview with Cena backstage, Evan Bourne thanks Criss Angel for putting him in a “MitB-Qualifying-Match” against Regal later on.

Regal and his (slightly annoying) Rookie show up as well.
“I see you in the ring Sunshine” <- and here I thought Christian was the light of his life *sad face*

Criss does a little trick and the entire time I am screaming, at least in my head and on twitter: REGAL FOR GM!

Randy Orton vs Chip ‘N’ Dale

Pretty good match, lots of “Randy”-chants, and HOLY SHIT: DiBiase over Orton! <- they’re actually pushing Ted aren’t they? Well, that’s a – ok with me *ha*
Rhodes beats on Randy some more as well  – cause he’s jealous that he aint getting pushed as well *hehe*

Batista claims to not get involved in Cena’s match vs Vince later tonight – right!
Funny, Batista is almost entertaining as Heel – almost! And not in the ring of course!

The award for most boring promo of the night goes to: Hunter & Sheamus, right before they start beating on each other. Couldn’t tell ya’ what this was about, as I paid no attention at all.

Criss Angel and Santino are backstage, with another trick from Angel and some “boring” chants from inside the arena.

W.Regal vs E.Bourne

Kinda glad that Regal lost, this way he can fully concentrate on his new role as GM soon

Match was ok, glad to see Evan win, pissed about Regal never winning anymore period. Plus, match was way to short, which also means that Regal got beat in like 2 mins *hmpf*

Oh yeah, did I mention that Christian was on commentary during this match *swoons*

BTW: Boy seemed a littler hyper, as he talked faster than ever *lol*

Criss Angel comes out to introduce Vince & Cena.

J.Cena vs V.McMahon

I could have easily lived without the last 13 minutes of RAW. Ruined an average show and made it a bad one *lol* No seriously, it was kinda bad.

Vince (who looks more and more like a cartoon) makes this a “Gauntlet-Handicap-Match”, brings in different opponents for Cena to face as well as facing him:

1.Kozlov *ugh*
2.McIntyre
3.Swagger *Huh?*
4.Henry *ugh*

Vince makes it a “No DQ”-match now, Henry doesn’t want to hit Cena with the ringbell that the Boss got for him, Vince pushes Henry, gives him the bell,tells him to do it, Batista run’s in and spears Henry, Kofi run’s in to help (Huh? Guess they don’t have Sl’s for him right now eh), get’s beat up too, Cena get’s beat, Vince win’s, Batista stands above Cena, RAW is finished.

Just my thoughts, no play-by-play.

White ropes are really distracting!

Miz vs DB/BD is very entertaining, but I sure hope Miz get’s the upper hand soon, cause this kinda makes him look like a complete douche – losing to Rookie and all.

Can you guess what I am looking at? *ha*

Heath Slater beats Carlito – which is great cause it made Christian smile a lot *ha* but another Rookie beating a Pro? Way too soon for all that.

Justin Gabriel is my new favourite Rookie!

Punk “hating” on his Rookie like that makes me laugh.

So, let’s move on to the A-show shall we *ha*
SmackDown…starts with Rey Mysterio, his wife and 2 Kids, who are on their way to the ring. I already know where this is going and therefor like to state: Usually, I HATE FAMILY-ANGLES! and this one is no different.

Rey get’s on the mic, talks a lot, has obviously not improved his mic-work at all and then sings “Happy Birthday” with the crowd to his daughter, who is celebrating her 9th Birthday today.

Punk’s music hits and the SES is here to safe us from the boredom. Punk challenges Rey to a match tonight, calls him a coward a lot and WOW, did Mysterio’s daughter act great during all this or what? Way better actress than Daddy already. Loved it!

The crowd almost starts chanting “You suck”, but then realize it might not be appropriate when children are around. Sure made me giggle.
Not that there wouldn’t be any under age children in the crowd at ALL events right *hehe*

All this end’s with Rey leaving, since he’s protecting his family and Punk doing an awesome job at being creepy as fuck when singing “Happy Birthday”.

Reminded me a bit of this:

The Miz is on his way to the ring, accompanied by DB/BD and by “God”, I love how that announcer pronounces “The Miz”.

“John Morrison and R-Truth think they can come to MNRAW and embarrass the last truly great Tag Team…REALLY? They think they’re gonna go to Wrestlemania 26 and win our unified Tag-Team-Championships…REALLY? I have a question: Do you all think they can beat us? *crowd chants* REALLY? … REALLY?
Well, tonight the Big Show is going to show John Morrison just what he can do and right now I’m gonna show R-Truth exactly what I can do and together, at WM 26, we will proof that we are the most dominant force in Sports-Entertainment!
Because we’re ShowMiz…and we’re…AWESOME!” <- that just sounded strange.

The Miz vs R-Truth (w/Otunga)

The match was…uhmmm…not that great. It ended with DB/BD throwing Miz’ legs off the ropes when he was trying to (illegally) pin RT like that. Miz was distracted (<- Was HBK in the crowd wearing that shirt again? *lol*) and Truth got the pin over him. *hmpf*
DB/BD also applauded RT’s every move during the match *ha*

So Miz lost yet another match and I am out of ways to describe how much the booking in WWE annoys me.

Strikerism: “über-confident” and “Really Dude?”

We see a video hyping WM/Undertaker vs HBK and Striker tells us: “If you’re an adult, find a child…” <- made me laugh. He was really taking about Kids being all excited for this.

Drew McIntyre meets up with Teddy Long backstage (<- why is he still in WWE?) and informs him that his 3rd (!) MitB-Qualifying-Match tonight, will be a “Winner-takes-all”Macth, which means his Title will be on the line.

Drew McIntyre vs Aaron Bolo (?)

Don’t feel bad, nobody has ever heard of that dude before. Drew wins in under 2 minutes and is therefor going to WM.

Let’s take a look at who else will be in that match (so far): Christian, Kane, Shelton, Swagger, Bourne, Hardy, Ziggler, MVP and McIntyre. 9 (!) people so far and if you wanna believe the dirt sheets, #10 is about to be announced as well.

Christian for MitB!!! If not, than at least Ziggler please – but I really…REALLY want Christian to win! And then, I’d like him to turn and feud with Jericho and Edge or something *lol*

Big Show vs John Morrison

BOOORING!
Poor JoMo, you can’t just take wrestling away from him by slowing him down like that – it’s all he’s got (<- no mic-skills) *ha*

Big Show wins *meh*

Sidenote: Striker & Grisham made me giggle a lot during this match, but especially at the very beginning. Silly boys *ha*

WWE is hyping “Women history month” (in the US) and yep,I am sure that’s what feminists had in mind: lingerie-pillow-fight-”matches” *lol*
I am just kidding – of course all this feminists were in reality dreaming of seeing half-naked beautiful women on demand.

Ok, enough silliness now…but oh wait… here’s Teddy Long and Tiffany (whom I still like somehow) and even better, now Vickie’s here too *sarcasm*
She announces a match between Tiffany and McCool.

The Hart Dynasty (well, at least the boys) vs Cryme Tyme

Striker is being “übersilly” again (CRYME TYME), the match last about half a second before the lights go out and…surprise surprise, Undertaker is in the ring, beating up all four man with various moves and holds.

Striker calls him the “once in a lifetime Superstar” <- Huh? In Taker’s lifetime? Well, he can’t be more than once then or can he? Whatever, I just thought it sounded a bit weird.

RAW-rebound! Why the hell are there never any SD-rebounds on RAW? The have look back’s, but no rebound – so why do I have to watch this shit over and over again *hmpf*

Michelle McCool (with Layls & Vickie G.) vs Tiffany

Ends like this: Vickie pushes Tiffany, all beat up Tiffany, Beth runs in and beats up bad girls, looks at Vickie, grins, let’s her go at first, but then clotheline’s her, beats on her a bit and raises Tiffany’s hand in the air.

I’ve waited for Beth’ turn, cause we all knew it was coming right, but like this? Mmh…let’s see what they’ll make of it.

Kane vs Luke Gallows

Really!
Kane get’s DQ’ed and the get’s a “Go to sleep” as well.
Rey run’s in and starts fighting with Punk outside the ring until Punk runs away.

FINALLY, THE HIGHLIGHT REEL, HAS COME BACK TO…eh, you get my point right *haha*

Chris Jericho and Edge are in the ring now, looking hot *hehe*

Chris: “I see you have this smile on your face Edge, is something funny to you right now?”

Edge: “Actually, there is something funny Chris. You know you got this show, that is called the ‘Highlight Reel’, yet it seems the only highlight that keeps happening between you and I is…I keep hitting you with this move,…it’s this move that I do and I can’t really remember the name”

Some people in crowd yell SPEAR, Edge asks what this move is called again and some more people yell SPEAR. One more time – entire arena finally got it and yell’s SPEAR *ha*

Chris: “Now that actually is quite humerus Edge (<- I thought so too). You got all this sheep chanting for you. Egde you’re wimp…Oh yeah mindless drones on the drop of the dime…spear spear…but that’s fantasy and I only deal in reality (<- oh man, you don’t know in how many of my fantasies…uhm…nevermind) .
Edge, I am an honest man and I always tell the truth and the truth is this: You and I could have been one of the greatest Tag Teams in WWE history, but then you had to go and selfishly get hurt.
But that’s always what happens to you, you get to the cusp of greatness and then you get injured. Neck injuries, shoulder injuries, leg injuries.
As a matter of fact, when I was stealing the show against Shawn Michaels at WM 19, right here in this city, you were sitting at home watching!
And then you missed the next WM after that…how many days, month, years have you missed, due to injury?
Do you know, what I was doing, while you were home licking your wounds? Do you know what I was doing?”

Edge: “Losing! *ha* Mainly losing Chris! Yeah you talk about WM 19 here in Seattle, but you lost to Shawn Michaels. At WM 20, you lost to Christian…

Chris: “No no no no no no no … what I was doing is something that you will never do. I was forging a Hall-of-fame, unprecedented, unparalleled career as the greatest performer of my generation. That’s what I was doing. Yeah! And I was doing it injury-free.”

Edge: “What’s your point Chris? What is your point? Have I been injured in the past? Yep, guilty as charged. I’ve been injured. Do you wanna know why? 
Because I only know how to do this job one way. I take risks. At Wm, I dived of off 20 foot ladders (<- ah, make that 50 *lol* love the exaggeration in Wrestling *STEEL*). I have jumped, face first, into flaming tables (<- Why anyone would do that is a mystery to me till this very day). I have landed in thumbtacks. I take risks, that’s what I do.
Has my style taking years off of my career? Yeah I bet it has, but I face adversity and I do it without fear (<- totally rhymes with SPEAR *ha*).
I don’t have any regrets Chris Jericho (<- uh oh, last names, means he’s serious now *ha*).
And I tell you what, at WM, I’m gonna take whatever risk I have to take in order to get back my WHC again.”

Chris: “Well you’ve already taken risks Edge, you’ve taken a lot of risks, especially when you agreed to face me at WM  (<- Agreed? Thought it was Edge’s idea all along…Chris been hit in the head too much or what *he*), because I told you bad things happen to you when I am in the ring and I’ve told you, you were nothing more than a fraud.
You don’t know success, you never succeeded in anything on your own. The best you’ve ever done was when you were with Vickie Guerrero!”

Edge: “Touchè! You know everybody has that girlfriend that they regret having…you all do, I know it *points at crowd* for me it’s Vickie G., for you, it’s the Big Show!
But Chris, I do take risks! Calculated risks! And at WM, I’m gonna take those risks and I’m gonna beat you for the WHC!”

Chris: “Let me repeat to you what I just said: You should have stayed away from me! Bad things happen to you when I’m around! I was there when you tore your Achilles tendon, I saw how much pain you were in, I asked the Doctor how long you’re supposed to be out and he said ’8 month, 9 month, a year’, but you came back at the RR, after only 6 month, what a courageous, gutsy performance…oh yeah give him a hand oh sure sure 6 month (<- *to crowd*). You rushed your recovery, you came back and it paid of, you won the RR!
But that’s gonna cost you, because I don’t think you’re fully healed Edge (<- I was waiting for that since the feud started – HA I knew it!). I don’t think you were ready to come back.
I think you’re so buys shamelessly pandering to all these hypocrites, that you’re forgetting that you’re still injured!
And I know that you and all the sheep would like to see the end of WM with Edge standing strong, confetti falling from the sky, pompous circumstance, everybody chanting your name, but once again,the reality is this: At WM, I’m going to beat you and on top of that, I’m going to hurt you and I’m gonna send you home for another 6 month and that’s a guarantee!”

Edge: “You know something Jericho (<- uh oh), I’m gonna do something at WM too, I’m gonna make you an EX WHC and I’m gonna do it, after I hit you, with a SPEAR!”

As you might have guessed by now, that last SPEAR was enough SPEARS for SPEAR-hating Jericho and so he just hit Edge with that mic…and with one of the weakest hits I’ve seen in a while *lol*

Chris then hit Edge with the evil barstuhl…which looked even worse than that fake-ass-weak-hit-with-mic did *haha*
He kicks the Rated-R-Superstar some more, takes off his STEEL-jacket (<- in WWE, everything is made out of steel right) and starts beating Edge with that.
Not having enough of foreign objects just yet, Jericho tries to throw the seemingly defenseless Edge face first into the Jeritron Shawn-Michaels-style!
But, Edge is fighting back and after a mean DDT (<. I think, not sure) tries to do the inevitable: SPEAR the hell out of his former partner.
Jericho, being a smart man, knew what was coming (<- just like about everybody that was watching did) and hits Edge with his WHC-belt instead. 

Chris is gazing at his enemy, laying there helplessly and grabs a mic to start an anger-filled chant: SPEAR SPEAR
SPEAR SPEAR SPEAR SPEAR SPEAR SPEAR SPEAR SPEAR SPEAR SPEAR SPEAR SPEAR SPEAR SPEAR SPEAR
Getting down on his hands and knees, lingering only inches away from Edge’s face, he delivers a last SPEAR on his long-lost friend, before he get’s back up, towering over his battered victim, raising the belt high in the sky.
At  this point, we leave the bloodcurdling scene for good.

*lol* Ya’ll dig my über-dramatic style? Sorry, I was just having fun here…hehe. This feud needs a bit more drama and fun

I am so happy Jericho got the “win” this time. Edge always beats him down, or more accurately spears him and we are left with a weak” Jericho. No this time, thankfully.
What use is an awesome feud, if only one of the opponents is build up strong?

Anyway, the week in WWE wasn’t so bad I’d say – we’ve had plenty worse *ha*

It’s already Thursday, so I could continue writing about this week’s RAW and NXT *lol* But I’ll leave that for the next blog.
And if you’re not down with that, I’ve got 2 words for ya’: HELL YEAH!
